About the Workplace

Västerängsskolan is a F-9 school located centrally in Bålsta.

The school is surrounded by forests and beautiful outdoor areas with plenty of space for play and outdoor activities. The school is within walking distance to both commuter trains, swimming halls, and ice rinks. Västerängsskolan accommodates students from preschool class to grade 9, as well as after-school activities. There are two classes per grade from preschool to grade 9.

The school is characterized by a relational approach where safety, well-being, and an accessible learning environment are in focus. All students should have the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and needs. The school operates under a school-wide program that promotes an inclusive school through positive learning support for all (IBIS - inclusive behavioral support in schools).

Your Responsibilities

• Teach Swedish and social studies in grade 6
• Work from an inclusive perspective with an understanding of the importance of teaching in different ways.
• Actively work with an accessible learning environment on all levels.
• Create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Engage in collegial learning and be familiar with current research.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed primary school teacher in Swedish/social studies.

You have a strong commitment and are confident in your professional role. You are a clear leader, capable of creating a warm teaching climate and can inspire students in their learning. You are genuinely interested in creating, maintaining, and nurturing good relationships with both colleagues and students as well as guardians. It is a given for you to always have the student’s best interest in mind. You have good collaboration skills, good communication skills, good IT knowledge, and are well-versed in pedagogical documentation.
